Jones Walker LLP announced today that William Underwood has been appointed as head of the firm’s Atlanta office, effective June 7, 2024.

William is a partner on the Construction Team and joined the firm as an associate in the Litigation Practice Group in 2016. In his new role as head of the office, he will oversee the management and strategic expansion efforts for the firm’s office located in Buckhead.

William is a skilled construction attorney who represents a broad array of domestic and international clients, including owners, general contractors, and design-build contractors, with matters related to large industrial and infrastructure construction projects. An experienced litigator, he frequently assists clients with issues throughout the entire life cycle of a project, from inception to completion. William’s experience ranges from representing owners and contractors involved in high-stakes disputes regarding billion-dollar projects to advising clients on issues related to contract drafting, contract negotiation, risk mitigation, and overall project management.
