Jones Walker attorneys on the bankruptcy & restructuring team were recognized with the Turnaround Management Association's (TMA) 2023 mid-size company Turnaround and Transaction of the Year Award. The team, led by partner Kristina Johnson, included partners Jeff Barber and Gina Jacobs and associate Olivia Greenberg, worked with other firms also recognized with the award for their efforts in the Chapter 11 bankruptcy proceeding addressing the unique challenges in the Express Grain Terminals case.

The Express Grain case involved legal questions yet to be addressed anywhere in the country in a Chapter 11 setting within the construct of the rarely used and truncated Section 557 deadlines and protocols for storage facilities. The resolution of this complex situation was a win-win for all constituencies in the case.

Jones Walker will be recognized for the team's achievement during the 2023 TMA Annual Conference at the San Francisco Fairmont on October 5, 2023, where Kristina will accept the award on behalf of the team.
