Jones Walker Hosts Reception for American Association of Professional Landmen, Hunter Speaking on Force Majeure

On January 19 in The Woodlands, Texas, Jones Walker is hosting a reception at The Woodlands Marriott for seminar participants following the American Association of Professional Landmen Outer Continental Shelf Workshop being held at Anadarko's Woodlands corporate offices. Energy special counsel David Hunter is presenting the topic, "Force Majeure Under the Deepwater Operating Agreement." The OCS workshop is held every other year for the key players in the offshore energy industry and already this year's workshop is a sellout. The American Association of Professional Landmen provides background information on energy issues to U.S. Senate, House, and special governmental committee hearings; to state/province and federal agencies and legislative aides; to the media; and to community and special interest groups. AAPL is a governing member of the Energy & Mineral Law Foundation, the LSU Mineral Law Foundation, the Rocky Mountain Mineral Law Foundation and has representation on many other industry organization boards. The AAPL is headquartered in Fort Worth, Texas, and has 43 affiliated local associations throughout the United States and Canada.
