Partners Andrew R. Lee and P.J. Kee, together with associate Micah J. Fincher and paralegal Georgette Shahien, obtained a favorable monetary judgment on behalf of the firm’s client, IBERIABANK, in a high-profile lawsuit against a former executive of a bank that IBERIABANK acquired through merger. The client obtained a successful judgment on claims of breach of fiduciary duty, breach of contract, and violations of the Computer Fraud and Abuse Act. The former executive’s counterclaim for additional compensation and damages was also dismissed and judgment was entered in IBERIABANK’s favor after the Jones Walker team prosecuted a successful pre-trial summary judgment motion. IBERIABANK’s primary claim to recover damages against the former executive was tried in federal court in Lafayette over five days in July 2017. The matter is currently on appeal.
