Andrés is an experienced political and policy consultant who has worked with organizations across Florida to build coalitions and pursue initiatives that help improve the state’s economy and better the lives of its citizens. Recognized for his leadership skills, extensive network of business and governmental contacts, and ability to align diverse perspectives in the pursuit of common objectives, he works with firm attorneys and clients to develop and promote effective legislation and regulatory policy.

Prior to joining Jones Walker, Andrés served as communications director to the speaker of the Florida House of Representatives. Drawing on his firsthand experience in the halls of the Florida Legislature, he speaks the languages of elected officials and the public alike and understands their major concerns, from economic opportunity, education and workforce development to law enforcement, taxation, technology and more.

Before joining the speaker’s office, Andrés was communications director of the Florida House Republican Campaign Committee. In 2020, he served as regional communications director, Hispanic outreach, for the Republican National Committee. Andrés has also served in leadership positions for political campaigns across Florida and in New Jersey.

Jones Walker reopened its Tallahassee office in January 2024. The Tallahassee office is among the firm’s 16 locations in eight states and the District of Columbia.
