Jones Walker LLP announced this week that Meredith Maxwell has returned to the firm as special counsel in the Corporate Practice Group and on the Healthcare Industry Team.
Ms. Maxwell was previously an associate with the Business & Commercial Transactions Practice Group in the New Orleans office from 2001 to 2008 and has since continued to practice in South Carolina. She is an experienced corporate attorney with a focus on serving healthcare clients. Ms. Maxwell has represented various sectors of the healthcare services industry, particularly private medical practice associations, hospitals, physician hospital organizations, and long-term care facilities in corporate formation and restructuring.

In addition to being involved in complex healthcare transactions, Ms. Maxwell regularly counsels clients on other business matters such as mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, and business planning.
Ms. Maxwell received her J.D. from Washington & Lee University School of Law, and she is admitted to practice in Louisiana and South Carolina. She is also a member of the American Health Lawyers Association.
