NEW ORLEANS, November 11, 2015 – Jones Walker LLP announced today that R. Parker LeCorgne has joined the firm's New Orleans office as special counsel in the Business & Commercial Transactions Practice Group.

Mr. LeCorgne has more than three decades of leadership experience in business and law. His career in private practice, as head of several successful companies, and as a member of the board of directors of several international enterprises provides clients a full-spectrum counsel on a broad range of legal, commercial, and financial matters. He understands the strategic goals and day-to-day concerns of owners, shareholders, executives, investors, lenders and borrowers alike. Over the course of his career, Mr. LeCorgne has helped numerous publicly traded and closely held companies negotiate and close mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, asset-based financings, lending agreements, real estate purchases and sales, and other contracts and deals.

Mr. LeCorgne is president of the New Orleans-based Dr. G. H. Tichenor Antiseptic Company, a position he has held for nearly 20 years with the 110-year old, family-owned business. Mr. LeCorgne began his legal career practicing for more than a decade with Jones Walker where he delivered broad-based counsel to publicly traded and privately held corporations and gained a lasting reputation as an effective business negotiator and for his ability to successfully resolve conflicts between clients and their strategic partners, vendors and customers, often before reaching the courtroom. Subsequently, he co-founded his own law firm focusing on corporate, project finance, real estate, and banking law, where he served as a name partner for more than a decade.

Mr. LeCorgne earned a Juris Doctor degree from Tulane University Law School and a Bachelor of Arts degree in history from the University of Virginia. He is actively involved in the legal, business, and civic communities of Greater New Orleans and beyond. He remains a member of the board of directors of the Dr. G. H. Tichenor Antiseptic Company, and also serves on the boards of New Orleans-based Phoenix Development Company, Inc., and of two companies based in the Bahamas, New Providence Development Company and Bethell Estates, Ltd. He is currently a director of Ochsner Health System and a trustee (and past chairman) of the Delta Waterfowl Foundation. He has variously served as chairman, vice-chairman, and trustee for the Louisiana Nature and Science Center, Lighthouse for the Blind, the Gulf Coast Conservation Association, Trinity Episcopal School, and Isidore Newman School.
