Jeff Birdsong, a partner on the state and local tax team in the New Orleans office, participated as a panelist at the Institute for Professionals in Taxation (IPT) Annual Meeting on June 25, 2024, in San Diego, California. Jeff’s presentation “Seaside Mergers & Acquisitions: Navigating the Waves of Strategies and Tax Traps” focused on identifying sales and use tax challenges related to mergers and acquisitions, understanding liabilities and obligations during due diligence, and developing strategies for integrating sales and use tax functions post-merger.
