Five Jones Walker attorneys, including Will Baldwin, Cindy Muller, Curt Hearn, Scott Jenkins, and Mallory Wynne, presented at the IPF24 Offshore Wind Energy Conference in New Orleans on April 23, 2024. Their combined presentations provided the content for a Jones Walker curated workshop “Supply Chain Showstoppers – A Deep Dive into the Allocation of Risk” and included representatives from IMCA, BIMCO, Boskalis, and DEME.  The workshop shared best practices for contracting and risk management in the offshore wind industry, updates from the 2023 construction season, and discussions of risk allocation schemes for construction and installation, vessel charters, Jones Act compliance, and risk sharing through joint ventures.
