Richard Tyler and Christopher Cazenave, partners in the firm's New Orleans office, together with Jones Walker alum Mark Mercante authored the chapter “Defending Against Owner Claims” in the book Construction Disputes: Representing the Contractor, Fourth Edition, recently published by Wolters Kluwer. The chapter addresses multiple topics including the owner’s warranty of plans and specifications, substantial performance and economic waste, warranties, statutes of limitation and repose, liquidated damages, and notice and waiver.
