Richard J. Tyler, a partner on the Construction Team, has been selected as an arbitrator for the American Arbitration Association (AAA) Construction Mega Project Panel. The organization, in conjunction with lawyers and construction industry professionals, established this unique panel of construction arbitrators in 2016. The panel is comprised of the top construction arbitrators as rated by counsel involved in construction mega projects. Panel members are selected using a rating committee made up of a diverse group of advocates and in-house counsel representing owners, contractors, design professionals, and insurers with experience in disputes arising out of significant construction and infrastructure projects.
In addition to an active construction law and litigation practice, Tyler has been a AAA arbitrator since 2004 and has served as co-chair of AAA’s National Construction Dispute Resolution Committee (2021–2025). He is a Fellow of the American College of Construction Lawyers and served on the Governing Committee of the American Bar Association’s Forum on Construction Law. He has been recognized in Chambers USA, Legal 500, The Best Lawyers in America©, and "Who’s Who Legal: Construction."
