Richard Tyler, a partner in the Litigation Practice Group in the New Orleans office, participated in the panel "Will HAL Take Over ADR?: ADR Neutral Use of Generative AI" during the 2025 American College of Trial Lawyers Annual Meeting on February 14, 2025, in St. Petersburg, Florida. The panelists critiqued the mediation recommendations suggested by different AI chatbots, discussed the benefits and risks associated with the use of AI chatbots in mediation and arbitration proceedings, and addressed the ethical issues arising out of the use of AI by arbitrators and counsel.
