Marjorie McKeithen, co-chair of the firm’s Energy, Environmental & Natural Resources Industry Team, and Kyle Bacon, co-leader of the firm’s commercial transactions team, presented at the Society of Louisiana CPA’s Oil and Gas Conference on November 19 and 20, 2020. Marjorie presented “The State of Salt Dome and Reservoir Storage and Sequestration in Louisiana: Hydrocarbon Storage and CO2 Sequestration.” Kyle presented “Understanding Representations, Warranties, and Indemnification in a Business Acquisition,” with commentary from Blair Suire, Alex Prochaska, Tim Brechtel, and Jennifer Kogos. The session addressed the nature, scope, and meaning of various representations and warranties that are typically found in purchase agreements for M&A transactions.
