Steve Lanza is a partner in the Corporate Practice Group and a member of the commercial transactions team. He represents businesses, entrepreneurs, attorneys, physicians, and other healthcare professionals in commercial transactions and related litigation.
Steve has advised clients on a broad range of business and commercial matters for more than 35 years, including entity formation, governance, acquisitions and divestitures, contract negotiations, and other complex transactions. He regularly assists clients with sophisticated, multiparty business arrangements and provides strategic counsel to help businesses manage risk and achieve their objectives.
When business relationships result in disputes, Steve represents clients in commercial litigation and works to resolve matters efficiently and effectively.
Steve has long been active in the legal profession and has served in numerous leadership roles within the Louisiana State Bar Association. He currently serves on the Louisiana Supreme Court’s Standing Committee to Evaluate Requests for Court Costs and Fees (2003–present) and has served on the Judicial Council of the Louisiana Supreme Court, on the LSBA’s board of governors, and as chair of the LSBA Young Lawyers Division.
In addition to his professional activities, Steve has provided long-standing service to legal and community organizations, including as volunteer legal counsel for Catholic Radio for Acadiana (90.5 FM) since 2010.
