Our attorneys are qualified to handle any issue related to green and other sustainable construction practices and certifications. A number of our attorneys are Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Accredited Professionals (LEED-AP), as are many of our litigators, the result of which is that Jones Walker has one of the largest green practices in the Gulf South. Jones Walker attorneys have extensive experience assisting architects, contractors, subcontractors, consultants, developers, landlords and tenants in structuring agreements for construction projects that incorporate green building practices or achieve LEED certification. The firm is a member of the U.S. Green Building Council, the U.S. Green Building Council of Louisiana, and the U.S. Green Building Council of Mississippi.
In addition to our experience in construction and environmental law, the firm includes leading practitioners in the areas of business, renewable energy, land use, natural resources, employment, tax, government relations and intellectual property law.
