NEW ORLEANS, October 26, 2016—Jones Walker LLP announced today that Thomas Y. Roberson, Jr., has returned to Jones Walker's New Orleans office as a partner in the Business & Commercial Transactions Practice Group.
Mr. Roberson comes back to the firm after spending several years abroad working for the Indonesian affiliate of Freeport-McMoRan Inc., where he was responsible for supporting the Jakarta-based legal group managing a range of corporate, project development, project finance, joint venture, tax, regulatory, and compliance matters involving copper mining, refining, power, and smelter projects.

Mr. Roberson has almost 30 years of experience supporting clients in commercial and corporate finance matters and has advised publicly held companies in connection with structuring, negotiating, and documenting syndicated credit facilities, public debt offerings, and project financings. He also has experience working on domestic and cross-border leveraged acquisitions and has handled structured financing transactions in sale/leasebacks, inventory, and accounts receivable financings/securitizations, and other asset monetizations.
